The CMA, or the Cost and Management Accounting course, is a prestigious qualification designed to equip individuals with the skills necessary to excel in management accounting and financial management. The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) governs this certification course and conducts the exam in three levels. CMA is a globally recognized certification that opens doors to a multitude of career opportunities in various sectors. CMA Foundation Registration 2025 – Important Dates
For candidates who would like to sit the December CMA Foundation Examination, the CMA Foundation exam registration’s last date is 31st January 2025. Hence, candidates who are willing to take the exams can complete the form by the dates mentioned.
Also, they can visit the ICMAI website to confirm the latest date/modification information. After that, they also need to complete the CMA Foundation exam form submission in March 2025.

CMA Foundation Eligibility Criteria 2025
Before you proceed with the CMA Foundation online registration, candidates must note that they need to meet certain eligibility criteria. Or else they won’t be able to complete the registration process. The eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Must have a 10+2 certificate from a recognized board.
- Commerce Examination from Qualified National Diploma by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education.
- Diploma in Rural Service Examination under National Council for Higher Education.
CMA Foundation Cutoff Dates
CMA exams take place twice every year, during June and December. So the CMA Foundation registration last date or the cutoff date for the June 2025 attempt is 31st January 2025. Hence, students willing to appear for the June exam must complete the registration process by 31st Jan 2025.
Mode of CMA Foundation Registration 2025
For CMA Foundation Registration 2025, you can opt for the online or the postal mode. To go with the online mode, students must visit the ICMAI’s official website, submit the required documents, and pay the fees. This will complete the online registration.
Besides that, students who opt for the postal mode need to visit their chapter (branch). So check the CMA Chapters and Regional Office Address and locate your nearest Chapter to complete the offline admission process.
CMA Foundation Registration Fees 2025
When completing the registration process, candidates need to pay a particular fee. So the CMA Foundation registration fee for the CMA Foundation level is Rs 6000 both for online or postal mode.
CMA Registration Documents Required 2025
To complete the CMA Foundation registration, you need to submit a few important documents. So the list of documents that students need to have with them when completing the registration is as follows:
- Copy of Matriculation Certificate
- Copy of 10+2 certificate or marks statement
- Three passport-size photographs [one on the online application form, one affixed on the identity card, and one to be affixed with the application.]
- Specimen signature
- Age proof document
Steps to Apply: CMA Foundation Registration 2025
Follow this step-by-step process to complete the CMA Foundation Registration process:
- Visit the official website of ICMAI or click at https://icmai.in/.
- Now you can find the “Students” tab on the header section, so click that. You will now land on a different tab. On that page, you can find an option “Online Admission”, click on that.
- When you click on that, it will take you to another tab. On the screen, you can find three options. Choose a Foundation course.
- After clicking that, you can see the screen will show some details like eligibility, fees, and the examination term. After reviewing this information, scroll down and click on “Proceed.”
- Since you have no login credentials, you can see an option Create Login Account (New Applicants). Click on that and after that you will see a page that will let you create a login account. Enter your email ID and desired password. After that, click on “Send OTP.”
- Now get back to the login page and log in using your credentials. Fill out the CMA Foundation application form and mention all the necessary details asked in the form. Verify all the details and click on “Save and Next.”
- After that, you will need to upload all your necessary documents mentioned by ICMAI.
- After you complete all this process, now complete the registration process by paying the necessary fees. Post that, you will get a confirmation receipt and you need to keep a copy of that receipt for future use.
Process After CMA Foundation Registration
Now that you have completed your CMA Foundation Registration, there are still some processes to complete. Here are the details:
1. Fill out the CMA Foundation Examination Form
ICMAI releases the CMA Foundation examination form on its official website. Along with the examination date, ICMAI releases the exam form. ICAI yet not release the CMA Foundation June 2025 exam form. Follow the guidelines mentioned and complete the form before the due date.
2. CMA Admit Card Download
In case you fail to complete the CMA Foundation exam form, you won’t get your CMA Foundation Admit Card. So you must complete the exam form. The exact dates for the CMA Admit card release will be notified by ICMAI on its official website.
In general, ICMAI released the admit card on its official website before the last two weeks of the exam. Note that you can download the admit card from the website only. So keep checking the websites for updates.
It is mandatory that students carry the admit card to their exam center or else they won’t be allowed to sit for the exams.
3. Appear The CMA Foundation Exam
Now, you will appear for the CMA Foundation exam as per the timetable and timings allotted. The exam will be in offline mode, MCQ-based, and at the center. Candidates on their admit cards can find the center name, timings, and subjects.
4. Check the CMA Result
After 60 days of exam completion, ICMAI will release the result on its official website. Candidates can access the results on the ICMAI’s official website. Students can log in using their roll number, registration number, and password to access the results.
